I have been studying Nonviolent Communication since 2009 and supporting others in learning it since 2014. I have studied personal and organization development through the Nonviolent Global Liberation Apprenticeship Program and Learning Community. I have training in conflict mediation from the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution. I have an M.A. in Human Services (including courses in career, relationship, group, trauma, and grief counseling) and a Ph.D. in Physics. I have been a physics professor and an astronomy curriculum developer, teaching assistant supervisor, higher education consultant, and a consultant and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. I am a white European American with a lower middle class background, I am queer, nonbinary transgender, probably autistic, polyamorous, and living with ADHD. I am trauma- and disability-informed, anti-racist, feminist, and I welcome alternative sexualities and religions.
